Dr. Wyatt didn’t always aspire to become a dentist, but a seminar in college lead him into the path he has now taken. Now a practicing dentist for over 20 years, Dr. Wyatt is a native Atlantan who was educated in the Atlanta Public School system. He received a B.S. degree in biology from Clark College in 1980 and his DMD from Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in 1984. His dental organization affiliations include the National Dental Association, American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Society (president-2005), Georgia Dental Association, and the North Georgia Dental Society. Dr. Wyatt is also a member of the Academy of Laser Dentistry where he serves on the board of directors and has attained Advanced Proficiency and Educator Status. He also serves on the advisory board of Atlanta Technical Institute, Doral Dental, and the ADA working group on Laser use in the Dental Practice. Dr. Wyatt served as an Olympic Village dentist for the 1996 Olympiad in Atlanta, Georgia and also serves as a volunteer dentist at the Ben Massell Dental Clinic.Other affiliations include Ben Hill United Methodist Church, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, and Angels of Mercy Ministries. Dr. Wyatt is married (Carla) and has 2 children (Sharla and Nina) His hobbies include Sports and Sporting Events, Jazz Music, the Beach, and working out.

LASER and LIGHT TECHNOLOGIES:WHERE WE ARE, WHERE WE’RE GOING
This course is an overview of lasers and light technologies in dentistry, the philosophies behind their mode of operation, and future applications on the horizon.

AN APPROACH FOR THE PREVENTION,DETECTION, AND DIAGNOSIS OF ORAL CANCER
The mortality and morbidity rate for oral cancer has not decreased in the last three decades. The objective of this course is to present the clinician with the necessary tools and techniques available today to discover malignant and pre-malignant lesions in the oral cavity. Also, the clinician will be exposed to techniques in tissue sampling for the purpose of obtaining an accurate diagnosis.


HANDS –ON LASER EXTRAVAGANZA
Lasers have become an integral part of many dental practices. The purpose of his course is to expose the clinician to the types of lasers available in dentistry, their strengths and weaknesses, and the various procedures that can be performed with them. After a brief overview each clinician will be able use different lasers and perform various clinical procedures.
