Lecture Topics
Real World Implant Prosthetics-One day lecture:

This is a full day lecture featuring implementation of dental implant prosthetics into the grass roots general practice. Treatment planning principles include how to workup the implant case for proper analysis, coordination of the surgical and restorative dentists’ efforts, and case presentation to achieve patient acceptance of recommended treatment. Fixed and removable step-by-step procedures for implant cases are presented from the single tooth implant to full arch cases.

The removable overdenture portion of this lecture reveals new, highly accurate impression techniques and method for gaining centric relation records easier and quicker than previous techniques. The removable overdenture market is presented as an vast reservoir of implant patients searching for a better fitting, better functioning, and more esthetic alternative to conventional dentures This lecture will illustrate how to satisfy their needs and wants.

A bulletproof method for fee determination is also included that shows dentists how to accurately know the true cost of delivering any dental service and how to price it accordingly.

The program is delivered using beautiful slide illustrations from an Apple Mac Keynote program and seamless video segments interspersed to provide a highly informative and entertaining day of learning.

Taking Your Practice to the Next Level with Implant Prosthetics:

This is a two day program including all of the topics listed in “Real World Implant Prosthetics” plus a hands-on workshop in which the various prosthetic components of the Nobel Biocare implant system are reviewed. Each participant is guided through the applications of fixed and removable components using implant case models and kits containing the components. Slides are projected of each step and component in real time as the participants follow guided instructions from the speaker.

The lecture portion also adds a section on “Retreatodontics”; the increasing need for redoing restorations on previously completed implant cases. We see an increasing number of implants surviving for 10, 20 years or more. The fixed and removable prostheses understandably are wearing out and require replacement. This area along represents another new source of production to the general practice for those who learn how to retreat the cases profitably.

Also a section on Hygiene maintenance illustrates in-office and home cares principles for the dental hygienist to pursue.

How to Build a Strong Dental Implant Team
Samuel M. Strong, DDS and Stephanie S. Strong, RDH, BS

Dr. Sam Strong and Ms. Stephanie Strong bring their 30 plus years of experience in running a highly successful general practice to provide a one day lecture on team training for the implant oriented office. This program is effective for both surgical and restorative offices as they break down each office into the various departments, review individual and collective responsibilities, and show how both offices should work together in planning and executing the implant case.

Systems for all team members are reviewed to create an “Implant Mentality” in the office. Areas of growth within the practice are illustrated that increase each team members’ worth and value to the dentist. These areas of expertise represent significant opportunities for financial remuneration to the team members who increase their expertise.

Of particular interest are the sections of this program that show how to track the implant case from start to finish so that critical deadlines are always met. The implant case is carried out in a highly professional and organized fashion by following the formulas presented by Dr. and Ms. Strong.

Stephanie Strong has filled every position in the dental practice and continues to actively practice dental hygiene while also serving as Office Manager for the private practice of Dr. Strong. Her expertise and knowledge of all facets of running a general practice are evident in the lecture and add a sense of believability to the program.

This lecture is unique in that two people who live the principles presented in it every day teach it.
