Dr. Poss graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 1983. Dr. Poss has directed numerous live patient continuums at various teaching institutes emphasizing anterior and posterior aesthetic dentistry since 1995. Dr. Poss is currently the Clinical Director at the Center for Exceptional Practices in Cleveland, Ohio. He is also on the editorial team of the Reality publication.

Dr. Poss lectures internationally on esthetic dentistry and TMD. He is an active consultant to several dental manufacturers in the area of new product development and refinement. He has had numerous articles published in the leading dental journals. He maintains a cosmetic oriented restorative practice in Brentwood, Tennessee.

Lecture Topics
"Advanced Anterior Esthetics: Full or half day lecture and/or workshop"

This lecture would entail the ten principals of smile design and how to predictably deliver the most ideal anterior esthetic smile to your patients. There would be discussion on the challenging cases like midline shifts and diastema closure. This would include preparation design and how to utilize various dental materials. Dr. Poss would also discuss a quick effective way to temporize 8-10 veneers in just minutes.
The lecture would also cover adhesive dentistry. The advantages and disadvantage of the total-etch versus self-etch and the proper sequence to cement these aesthetic cases.

“Advanced Posterior Esthetics: Full or half day lecture and/or hands-on workshop”

This lecture would first discuss a quick effective way to place a direct composite that will be virtually undetectable in the mouth. This will include discussing various dental composites and the proper adhesive techniques. Dr. Poss will also discuss when to use a posterior laboratory restoration including inlays and onlays. This will entail preparation design and the proper cementation techniques and the indications for different dental materials. The closing part of the day there will be discussion on how to get your patients to say yes to the best!
