HI, HOW ARE YOU, NOW GIVE ME YOUR MONEY
Your Exam and Presentation May Be Holding You Back

It happens every day. You are running behind when the hygienist or assistant pages you for a new patient. You have to walk the tightrope to make the patient feel welcome while getting out of there in time to save your schedule. Do you tell the patient what they need right then, bring them back for a consult, or have your staff explain? This course will detail the new patient experience as THE MOST CRITICAL procedure you perform. From the initial phone call or web inquiry to the consultation, the techniques taught in this course will immediately translate to more committed patients.

WE AINT GETTING ANY YOUNGER,
Insights to Treating the Geriatric Patient

As the population continues to age with their own teeth, general dentists are seeing higher rates of xerostomia, root caries, worn dentitions, tooth fractures and debilitating systemic disease. The Geriatric patient offers unique challenges that may require a non-standardized approach to treatment. This course will review some of the challenges seen with this patient population, while offering solutions to common obstacles to treatment. Upon completion of this course, the participant should feel more confident to address the demands of the elderly patient.

GADGETS, GIMMICKS, AND GURUS,
Making Sound Decisions on Technology

“Hey Doctor, this Binford IXL350 will add $50,000 to your bottom line annually. You can’t afford NOT to buy it.” How many times have we all heard this sales pitch? Just because a “guru” recommends a product, it does not mean that it will be the best option for your practice. Despite the downturn in the economy, it is still CRITICAL that offices stay current. This course will address the struggle between business sense and emotion when making an investment in technology. Many new products and equipment options will be reviewed in an unbiased manner to help the participant prioritize expenditures that

I’VE STILL GOT A FEW TRICKS UP MY SLEEVE!
Tips to Make Every-Day Procedures a Little Bit Easier

Call me experienced, seasoned or just plain old, but in more than 20 years of practicing dentistry, I have been fortunate enough to pick up tricks and tips from some of the greatest minds in dentistry while developing a few of my own. In this course I will share many of the time-saving, (and sometimes procedure-saving) tricks that have had the greatest impact on the procedures I perform most. The course objective is to not have ANY dentist or assistant leave this course without at least 10 things they can use immediately to simplify their procedures.

THE “JACKED-UP” DENTITION”,
Demystifying Full Mouth Rehabilitation

This course is designed for the progressive restorative dentist who wants to feel more confident in providing full-mouth rehabilitation. Several well-documented cases will be covered from the initial workup to the post treatment follow-up, detailing all TMJ treatment, Perio, Surgery, Occlusal Management, Aesthetic Considerations, and future risk mitigation. “I GOT TMJ !”
Treating Temporo-Mandibular Disorders as a Part of Comprehensive Care

We all have patients that come in and say this. Although we may chuckle at first, thinking “we all do”, the fact is that Temporo-mandibular disorders are amongst the least understood, and most undertreated ailments in dentistry. Well you don’t have to run anymore. This course will leave the participant prepared to work through most joint discrepancies and offer solutions to increase their patients’ comfort level. This is not your “one size fits all” TMJ lecture.

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE BITE,
A Simplified Approach to Occlusion

This lecture was adapted from a magazine article written by the presenter for the general public in South Carolina. It has been re-printed no less than three times and always generates a slew of calls, letters, and e-mail inquiries. We all know how much time was spent on Occlusion in dental school, as well as the practicality of utilizing that information in private practice. The reality is, that a mishandled bite can lead to myriad of iatrogenic problems for our patients. These conditions include but are not limited to pulpal pathology, orthodontic, periodontal or TMJ changes, bite collapse and dysfunction. Upon completion of this course, the participant will know how to recognize, diagnose, treat and prevent some of the most common bite conditions. while incorporating this knowledge into their restorative care.

THERE’S NO “ME” IN TEAM! WAIT, YES THERE IS.
Motivating and Utilizing Your Team to Its Fullest Potential

You pay them, You count on them, You respect them. So why Doctor, do you not let them assume more responsibility within your practice? Nothing is more comforting to a patient than an apparently synergistic team that all seem to be on the same page. When the team is educated and given responsibility, they take ownership within the practice. This should be the ULTIMATE goal for any practice owner. This course will help dentists identify the leaders within themselves, and teach the principles that help to create world -class dental teams.

SMALL TOWN PRACTICE, BIG CITY SUCCESS,
How to thrive in a smaller community

“Great concept, but that wont work where I practice .” This is one of the most overheard comments at CE seminars held all across the country. The fact is that small towns can offer opportunities not available to the urban dentist. With fees lower than those in most areas of the country, the presenter was able to build a multi-million dollar group practice in a town of less than 20,000 people. People are people, and whether they live in a large city or the smallest of towns, similar principles apply. Learn how to use the small town environment to your advantage, and build the practice of your dreams.
